From 2007 the C4 Picasso & C4 will be available in a 6 speed manual gearbox with an electro-hydraulic actuator control system.


From launch, the C4 Picasso will be available with a choice of four responsive, high-performance Euro4-compliant engines.

These engines are mated with a range of gearboxes that meet the needs of every customer: manual, automatic and the new 6-speed electronic gearbox system.
The 6-speed electronic gearbox system is a highly attractive alternative to conventional manual and automatic transmissions, in terms of driveability, fuel economy and affordability.

The technology is based on a 6-speed manual gearbox with an electro-hydraulic actuator control system delivering a fast, precise response for smooth, instant gearshifts. The quick, precise shifts of the six-speed electronic gearbox system delivers outstanding performance and one of the smoothest drives in its category. This gearbox also helps reduce fuel consumption by 4 to 5 per cent and CO2 emissions by 5 g per km.
